Electric Power Steering:
Our kit is based around columns readily available from vehicle breakers and dismantlers. We have kits that will work with the Vauxhall Agila A, Suzuki Wagon-R, and Suzuki Alto electric power steering column and control electronics. Our kit is in use in many Autograss and other short oval applications.
Send us your column, and control module. We will test it, modify both the strain gauge, and control module to our own specification. Fit our bespoke electronics to allow adjustment of the assistance level, package all the electronics in a box, test it, and ship it back to you.
The kit is "plug and play": Connect 12 volts to it, and connect the motor and strain gauge using the Deutch connectors we have fitted and you are off and running.
The kit is protected by a built in circuit breaker, and assistance is adjusted with a control knob which can be mounited on the box, or on a flying lead for installation in the dashboard. You do the fabrication to fit the column, we do the rest!
The UJ and splined column (As seen in the images of an Agila column) are part of the standard Agila kit. If purchasing the column from a breakers you should specify you want the UJ and the link shaft to the rack. That way you have lots of options to fabricate the column.
It should be noted that this is a budget solution. We work with other companies who can supply motorsport specification electric power steering. Our kit is designed for grass-roots, budget sensitive applications and is based around production car components that are readily available from vehicle breakers at a sensible price.
